Creating databases and account management within Facility - WebEx
Overview
This is one of four modules that have been designed to improve your knowledge of managing Facility and ePortal in order to get the most out of them, they are aimed at Data Managers and System administrators/Network managers.
The modules have been broken down in order to allow you to gain the relevant knowledge depending on your job role within the school, they are:
- Managing Your System part 1
- Managing Your system part 2
- Configuring the Student Window
- Customising ePortal
For new users we would strongly recommend that sessions 1 and 3 are attended as a minimum.
Sessions 2 and 4 should also be attended if the content is relevant to your job role within the school. The duration of each WebEx session (module) is 2 hours 30 minutes (a break will be scheduled as part of this session) and they have been designed to be attended in the order above.
Manage Your System part 2 covers:
- SQL - Creating a database and making a connection to it
- INI Files
- Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Facility Utilities - Author 2 Date, Viewing Active users, Activity log, Clearing table/resource locks, Backup’s within Facility, Restoring backup’s
