Serco Learning working in partnership with Telford & Wrekin council

Serco Learning strongly believes in developing long lasting and effecting partnerships with clients and works together with clients to understand their ever-evolving needs, and to provide solutions that meet these needs.

One of these many long term client partnerships is with Telford and Wrekin council whom Serco Learning has worked closely with for a number of years now. Currently the council has plans for the schools to form a ‘learning city’ and Serco Learning is thrilled to be a part of these plans. Top of council’s ‘wish list’ is:

“ the ability for schools to quickly, easily and cost-effectively, share data on issues such as assessment, behaviour and attendance, freeing them to spend more time on teaching”

Serco Learning is delighted to be able to help this vision to become a reality through the brand NEW and innovative Progresso MIS.

Tim Rocke, ICT Commissioning Manager for the council recently stated why partnerships such as the one the council have with Serco Learning are an essential part of the vision:

“We are migrating our schools’ management information solution to Serco Learning’s Progresso platform; our long-standing relationship with Serco Learning has been built upon a flexible, two-way partnership. Serco Learning’s vision for the new MIS mirrors our approach to school management - we want to maintain a strong strategic role and continue to work collaboratively with schools to gain a deeper understanding of their issues and achievements as an entire borough.”

Two of the council’s schools are part of the Serco Learning Progresso Pioneer program and will be among 25 of the first schools to receive Progresso and start benefitting from it later this autumn (2011). The rest of the council’s schools will follow and adopt Progresso in Spring 2012.
